Today was another great day at Santa Rosa Beach! We started things off by going to the beach early since the water was so much calmer than it had been the last couple of days, unfortunately that didn't last long before everyone had some sort of ailment and needed some AC and food so we headed back for lunch. After lunch we took our bikes for a ride, got a snow ball and stopped and made some tie-dyed shirts(I forgot my camera for this). For dinner Lynn made my FAVORITE meal, Shrimp and Crab Alfredo!!! It was wonderful as usual and the best part is we have leftovers for tomorrow! Maybe one day I will get him to write down the recipe so I can add it to "Lynn's Kitchen". While we were making the shirts today we learned there would be a wine tasting and live music in the common area of Gulf Place so we figured we would give that a try, it ended up being lots of fun and we also won a bag of coffee from Ms. Lucille's! After thinking about it for a couple of days we decided to rent bikes. We rented a tandem, a bike with a toddler seat and a regular bike, I was a little nervous about it, but it worked perfect! Our first adventure was to the Blue Mountain Creamery. As you can tell from the picture of Harrison, the ice cream was GREAT...knocked him right off his feet!! As you can tell from Lynn and I, the "mountain" in Blue Mountain Creamery is FOR REAL! This year we decided to come to Santa Rosa Beach, FL for vacation because of a recommendation from my sweet friend Trina. They have been coming here for several years and really like the location so we decided to try it. Well guess what? WE LOVE IT!! No crowds, very close to restaurants, grocery stores, sno-ball stand(this is a big one for Lynn), pizza and just about anything else you might need. I think we have decided that this will be our go to place for the next several years! Here are a few pictures that we have taken so far...enjoy!! |
